Mr Gabriel Danton established the 'Manufacture Textile du Centre' in France in 1931. Danton was established when, a few years later, in 1935, he registered the company name and its iconic red diamond emblem. At their workshop, located in Chatres sur Cher, France they manufactured traditional workwear including overalls, jackets, pants, and aprons.

Throughout the 70s and 80s, Danton provided their workwear to various French public administrations. Due to their significant popularity in the Japanese market, the business is still designing and manufacturing modernised workwear designs that draw inspiration from Japanese design.
